POLL -- Seafood or Viennese??

If I werent having my reception in a temple that desnt serve seafood, I would have the seafood. Personally, I think Viennese takes away from the entertainment at the end of a party. I have seen more than a few weddings come to a close pre-maturely when the Viennese hour/table happens. As far as allergies go, there are just as many people who are lactose intolerant and allergic to chocolate as there are to seafood. We arent doing Viennese - not because it wasnt an option, but because we liked the idea of people being served a multitude of desserts at the table in white glove service - it was our choice.

I would go w/ the Seafood
I have to agree w/ what Leslie said. I think sometimes the Viennese takes away from the end of the party. Sometimes its in another room and people go and eat and sit in that room, everyone starts to get up and walk around and start to leave...I don't know those are just my feelings from past weddings i've been to. I would go w/ the seafood

i voted neither - heres why - some people are so allergic to seafood they can't even be around it and even if its there, most people wouldn't even eat from it.

the viennese, i think, breaks up the reception too much.

have the cake and maybe a seperete dessert served.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Viennese. I agree with it taking away from the party and having it prematurely end. I also notice that almost no one tries some of the wedding cake when there is all that other stuff out.

ETA: This is after I went to two recent weddings with the Viennese. I used to think there was no such thing as too much dessert but there really is! LOL
