mine is a down payment on a house

I am right there with you on that one! I'm in the 55plus range.... it just gets higher and higher everyday!

welcome,,,,,you want to get in on the shed thing???

roro i almost fell off my chair reading that

I think I saw something in Sunday's paper for a sale on sheds at Home Depot--- I'll check it out!

I am sure if the three of us split in, we'll be fine! Afterall... with not heating as long as I wear my gown I'll be warm!

I sat down a few months ago and drew up an excel document with EVERYTHING on it...from the reception hall charge down to my nails. It was comforting in a way to see it all in print, even though the final number was scary. The little things REALLY add up! I thought we could do a wedding for $30K, but it's going to wind up around $37K (before the HM, which we booked, and is an additional $6K for our all-inclusive, since that's at a peak time of year, unlike the rest of our wedding).

i was shooting for 30-and we're right under. we definately made some choices though of what we wanted to spend money on and what could be cut or done on the cheap.

Re: Poll: WEDDING BUDGET

I voted wrong. I voted in the 36-45k range but that was WITH the HM. Without the HM it was in the 26-35k range.

Re: Poll: WEDDING BUDGET

we started around 10k, but then went to 30k and now all said and done we will be around 35-40k.

would be less but fh is hiring me a planner- so he doesn't have to help

Re: Poll: WEDDING BUDGET

started out with a budget of $15,000. Well, thats the cost of just my hall. Right now with everything added up we are at $30,000, not including HM.

thanks for reminding me how much 1 day is gonna cost!

We are nearing $53,000 with everything and no HM!!!

Re: Poll: WEDDING BUDGET

We aimed for $17,500 and realized that the reception alone would eat a lot of that budget. So we're aiming for $20 - $23,000.

Since we're not paying for the HM or my dress, hair, make-up, shoes - we think we'll be ok..

I never knew how much a wedding actually costs!

Do yourself a favor,,dont even add your HM into the total cost for your wedding.

When I did add our HM to the total..... I wanted to jump,,,so I minused it out and I feel a whole lot better

We set our budget at 30k but I think we are realistic and know that we will probably go over that slightly.

That's what we started at and went over by about 10K.
