It was 25k without HM, My dress or favors. In the end it was 30k without all of those things.

I really didn't want to spend over $10k, but once we were enlightened with the price of everything, we are a bit over $15k at this point.

$30K with HM, rings and everything else. That's my 'budget' wedding...the wedding of my dreams was a lot more...so I sacrificed a few things!

I think we hit 16K, I just could not get swept away in the whole scene. I wanted to be married quickly. We were going to elope, then decided to have a wedding in Nov, got married the following June.

Budget, what's that??? Funny, we never had a budget to begin with and definitely don't have one now. We just keep buying and adding. It's well over 50K and if we don't put a stop to it now, we're looking at 6 digits!-- without both honeymoons. Looks like I'll be teaching summer school this year!

In the beginning, I thought we could keep it at 25K but I was wrong. I stopped counting when I realized we were at 40K a few months before the wedding. If we add up what we spent on the honeymoon and rings, I think we spent a little over 50K.

It's really important that when you set down a budget you honestly don't BUDGE from it what - so -ever. If you say 'I want to spend 3K on a Photographer and not a penny more' you have to do it. Sacrifices have to be made somewhere!
but the sacrifices are so painful!!!

Ours started at 10,000, then we picked the location and that went out the window. Now I sit and add up every last receipt plus deposits and we are about 30,000-35,000. Thats without the HM, I just keep saying 'it's ok honey' that is getting very old. Look at it like this, You only do it once so why not. You cant take it with you when you go.
