Poll: What brand is your dress, where did you get it, and how much did you pay?

The dress that I want is demetrios and it's $2000....I haven't bought it yet because i'm having trouble spending so much on a dress i'm only wearing once! I saw it the Macy's Bridal Salon on 34th street.

I agree denise...I tried on alot of other dresses and they just weren't the same....luckily I got a good deal with a little no name designer who uses quality material....I'm psyched....its silk satin and chantilly lace...plus its hand beaded with swarovski crystals...LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I didn't mean that all dresses just don't compare maybe that came out wrong lol. I just meant that for example i wanted dutchess satin bc i like the look of it, and if thats what i was looking for its hard to find it for a lower price. but this all depends on what your preference is...I see dresses that are gorgeous for less and i see dresses that are expensive but are hideous and vice versa. Its just about personal taste.

I was just defending the part about people buying designer dresses JUST bc of the name, i wouldn't spend money on something I didn't love JUST bc of a name.

For me i personally don't care what someone spends on their dress, i don't think it should matter either way and i don't think people should be judged for either choice that they make.

Agreed I could give a rats A@# who the designer is, but you can def. tell the difference between materials and which designers use which. My favorites right now are rivinni and jim hjelm.
They are both very different styled designers, but gorgeous, quality material. My mom will help me decide though.

If I get the Maggie gown I want tomorrow - Rosemary Leigh- It will cost me about $1100 before alterations.

I had actually set a limit of $1000 but this gown was amazingly beautiful and I was thinking this is going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity (if by chance I need to get remarried I am just going to elope..lol) so a bit of a splurge isn't going to hurt just this once.
