The dress that I want is demetrios and it's $2000....I haven't bought it yet because i'm having trouble spending so much on a dress i'm only wearing once! I saw it the Macy's Bridal Salon on 34th street.

I ordered mine at the Bridal Suite of Bayshore... it's by Private Label by G and cost about $1250... I have pics in my album!

Mine was free! :) It was my grandmas. Im paying to have it updated though. I dunno what brand it is- its from the 40's.

ME TOO!!!! I'm getting it tomorrow! Its $2080 but I'm buying the sample because it fit me perfectly so they said it would be $1600, but we shall see if I can negotiate a little better....if not its ok...I LOVE IT!!!

wow a lot of you made out like bandits!!!! I haven't bought my dress yet, but I'm debating between splurging, being reasonable and putting the $ somewhere else, like HM. Any thoughts on your gown spending process
My thoughts: If you have help financially from family for either the dress or wedding, go for it. If not, then spend wisely. I am choosing a reasonably priced dress b/c I am also a new homeowner with FH and we are renovating. I'd rather an extra 4 grand to furnish the house. It's really up to you. There are so many beautiful dresses for under 2 grand. I see so many 4-8 thousand dollar dresses that are so ugly...some people just pay to have a designer name. Do you really think anyone will ask the dsigner name?

its not just about the designer name...for me i wanted dutchess satin, i love how that fabric looks, and also wanted certain beading and couldn't find it with other dresses...i looked at just about every designer and fell in love with kenneth pool dresses. Yes there are ugly dresses that are expensive but thats the case with wedding dresses in general, youre gonna have ugly and beautiful ones at any price range. There is a difference in fabrics and the work on them.
I went in there with the idea that i will pay for the whole dress myself, my dad did give me some towards the deposit, but i am paying for more than half of my dress...and i wasnt even expecting my dad to do it but he loved the dress and wanted to do so.

I had a Mon Cheri and it was about $1100--but I could have saved nearly $400 if I had gone to Phyllis at Bridal Elegance!

Mine was $1400 and I got a MAGGIE and I got it at a bridal salon in Delaware TAX FREE (where both of my sisters bought their dresses). That is where my mom and sisters live.

I bought it down in south Florida, going to pick it up in 3 weeks!!
It was $1200.
