well...if it doesn't happen in the first year...we will prob. start trying for one after that. we are just taking the 'if it happens it happens ' approach for the first year. but I'm not on BC, nor will I go on it, so we only rely on condoms if and when we decide to use them.

FH is ready for kids whenever I am. He says that if it was up to him he'd get me pregnant on our wedding night. But Hell No!!! We're both pretty young (i'm only 23) so I feel like we definitely have time. No need to rush into anything. Plus i feel like it's dangerous to have children within the first year - just because it's a lot of stress on a fairly new marriage. I'd like us to have enough time alone really truly developing into a strong married couple, and just being able to enjoy ourselves before any kids come along. That's why I'm sooooooo firm on BC. lol. So my goal is to wait AT LEAST 2 years before getting pregnant. That would be ideal

I would have picked immediatly as well lol...but DH and I are both 33 so we are ready. I picked when it happens it happens but I would love for it happen soon!!!!

I'm enjoying the time with DH! His family asks a lot about having children, but we want to travel a lot first. I'd like to wait until I'm 30 (5 years) but DH is four years older than me and will reach 30 about 2 years. Children are great, I love them, I'm a SpEd teacher...but my mom always says, It's a one way street... no going back, so why rush?

DH and I have been together for over 8 yrs so we've had plenty of time alone together. we'd like to save some more $ though if possible

I'm in the same boat as you!!!!! I'm 26 and want to wait 2 years. FH is 33 and wants to try on the honeymoon!!! I told him he's crazy, I'd like to be more secure and own property ideally. I also want to travel with him and see Europe

im still young, 22... DH is turning 27 next month. He doesnt want kids right now, his mind is on work, and taking vacations right now lol... he says 2-3 years which makes sense casue I have 1 yr left till I finish college and 1-2 years to work. BUT honestly 3 years seems so far :( lol...

we did everything backwards- bought the house and had our daughter and now we are getting married- but we would love one more asap!!!
