poll: when do you buy a shower gift

I am a registry peeker and I know the date of my shower.... its in 2 weeks. after my invites went out, gifts FLEW off my registry.... but now its slowed down big time and there is so much left!!!! There are over 60 people coming to my shower... i know I am being petty lol....I just hope most people stick to my registry...

so i was wondering, how far in advance do you buy a gift??

OMG! I was thinking the same thing.. the same thing is happening to me! I don't know when my shower date is though, but at first things flew off my registry and now nothing is moving... ha ha I agree.. I hope most people stick to the registry too

I usually buy people gifts well in advance...

Yea, you are def NOT alone! I was telling FH I am hoping that people aren't thinking my registry doesnt' have things that are varied in price... I hope I did that..

I confess, I'm the girl buying the gift the day before the shower...

Same here, but not because I'm a procrastinator, more-so because I know showers are surprises and I usually figure it's best to wait until the last minute. Especially if it's for someone in my or FI's immediate family, we all can't keep secrets, lol.

I just had my shower yesterday, and most of the things off my registry came off in the past week. In fact, a handful of things came of Friday, Saturday...and even 1 thing came off Sunday - the day OF the shower!!
People tend to leave things to the last minute.

eta: we also got a couple things that were on our registry that we weren't expecting bc people bough it at other stores (BB&B) and didn't take it off our original registy.

So - don't fret!
