Port Jeff County Club....has anyone had their wedding here?

Hi, I haven't had my wedding there yet, I will be next August. I think it's a great place. It's beautiful. I've heard from a lot of people that the food is excellent. They're under new management now, they're very professional. We looked into a May wedding there, and they were booked all through July and some in August. Well, for Friday night that is. There's a minimum of 150 people for a Saturday night. We'll only be having 100 people so that's why we went with Friday night. Any other questions let me know!

I'm not having my wedding there, but I went to a wedding there around two years ago. The day was beautiful so they were able to ultilize the deck. The view on a clear day there is magnificent!The food was good (not outstanding, not bad)and the service was fine.But since it's under new management things could be different now.I heard they have done some renovations. We went to a wedding there 2 weeks ago on a Friday night. The food and service were fine..nothing out of the ordinary but still very nice, however I might also point out that I think the bride and groom were on a VERY limited budget. Only thing that I really didn't like wa the wedding cake. It was way too sweet

What do you mean they had no extras??? My fiance and I are only having 100 people? It's not because we're on a budget, it's because we don't know that many people. I don't understand what you mean?

Melissa, Relax it will be fine, the place is very nice, especially if you are getting married in the summer. I don't know what the place offers but this couple had no extras, little things like 'frozen drinks' cappucino or mini-viennese , etc

Hi! I'm fine... I was just wondering why you thought that. I don't think they offer Frozen Drinks. Though that would be a great idea! They might have Cappucino and Vienesse. To be honest, I didn't know you're suppose to have these type of things??? Are you? I would think after eating so much food, that nobody would have any room for extra desert after cake??? (Dumb question, What is Vienesse? I forgot) :) Thanks!

One of my mom's friends got married there and my mom raved about the place. She wanted me to have my wedding there (and with that view, I wanted it, too!) But unfortunately, we don't meet their minimum...we're only having 80, and they have 100 minimum. Go for it!

Hi, my fiance and I are having our wedding there, and so far we have around 80 people also. We're having it on a Friday night, which is 100 people. We're still trying to come up with the rest. It's ok, it's worth it.We have over a year to come with the people, so we should!

We booked there for our September 2001 wedding and we are so glad we did! The grounds are beautiful and we went for a tasting in March - the food was great! Wheverer you choose, hope you have a wonderful wedding!
