Possible pregnant MOH...... a question on the dress...

My sister is my MOH and is also walking me down the aisle with my BIL, both my mom and dad have passed away.
She is trying to get pregnant and each month that passes no luck, she is seeing a specialist, etc. However, we already picked out her dress- but did not order it , so that is not a problem. Each month that passes makes it a month closer to the wedding- which is in March 2004. Do we wait until the last possible second to order it? do we have a dress made and see if a seamstress can make it a bit bigger and put in a maternity piece of materal in the front? YIKES! I do not want to make her feel bad or anything or self conscious- but what do I do? (PS I cannot wait to be an aunt!!!)

You can always buy the dress several sizes too big, and then have it taken in if you need to....that is what we are doing for my MOH...she is going to be trying come September, so she'll more than likely be pregnant for my May 2004 wedding.

I'd find out from the dress shop how long that particular dress is expected to take to come in first. I've ordered bm gowns as late as 6 mos. in advance in the past. Also, tell the store that she's trying to get prego and get the seamstress's advice since she'll be doing the alterations. And you could do what Drmblnd said as well, order the dress a few sizes larger.

I would talk to a dress store and see what they say. And Rebecca's right, I don't think you need to order the dresses so far in advance. You can always have your BMs get their dress now and just wait to get your MOH's dress.
