This really was a hard decision! I think we may have found ours but still not sure because I haven't seen them in person yet. Let me see if I can get a pic....

Utterhappiness, THIS is the set that I wanted! I love the colors and the shapes. However, FH did NOT like it. He has, apparently, an issue with cutlery and tableware. I had no idea. He is very particular about shapes, so we had to go through a million place settings to see which 'spoon shape' was least offensive to his aesthetic sensibilities. Then he didn't like the way the knives thesedays tend to have opposite stems and blades. There is no better way to explain this, and I didn't even know this was an issue. Then he doesn't like black bowls. Then he doesn't like square ones, because he thinks every day will be an episode of Top chef. Frankly, I fail to see the problem with this.
Long story short, due to his unnatural fixation with place settings and tableware, it has become painfully apparent that FH is way gay. Since we have so many deposits already paid, we are going ahead with this sham marriage in order to score all of the place settings we so arduously chose.
When we split up, I'm taking all of the place settings, just for spite.

My FH is the same way...I didn't think he would care so much about the snob appeal of a square plate over round, and 'restaurant quality whites'.

Thanks for the props though I woudl be interested in seeing what your FH ends up with! Please share! PS... when you split up you shoudl not even take them all.. you should smash them on the floor a la crazy lady and say, 'Oops, did I do that?'
