Money MAKING idea: sell all your old junk on ebay. Perfect for when you move out of your parents' house and move in with your husband/ fiance and you have lots of crap to get rid of anyway!

FH and I have been doing this and yeah its good. He also sold alot of his DVD's this week and got ALOT of money for them. He is planning on buying most of them in blue ray soon well not that soon but did help for now

Unfortunately I didn't have any ex's that gave me jewelry- but I did sell lots of DH and my stuff on ebay and we made like $500 from it.

With more to come- I have a few more things to put up for sale there.

I bought a drying rack and dry all my clothers on their. Except towels/socks and undies...everything gets air dried....saves on energy and electricity!!!

whatever is left in my checking account just before my paycheck is deposited - I transfer it out to my savings account.

It forces me to always spend less than I make, and once I transfer out anything that was left into savings, I consider it GONE and don't touch it so it stays as savings.

I do the same thing!!

I'm a coupon freak and don't buy anything we don't absolutely have to have, unless it's on sale. My FH loves his soda, well not unless it's on sale...sometimes I get this and from him, but it definitely works.

I do a 'forced savings'- went to my credit union and filled out a form that automatically transfers a certain amount of $$ into my money market account from every paycheck. If I don't see it, I can't missit!!!

brown bag lunch rather than eating out...save yourself a lot of $ and eat healthier

unplug appliances & electrics that aren't always in use, like the toaster over, microwave, cell phone charger, computer...even though things are turned off, they still draw power from the outlet.

switch to the energy saving lightbulbs...they cost more up front, but save you more in the long run

look for sales and coupons when grocery shopping

eating out is my 1 downfall. We eat out alot...we said we would stop but we never did. After working. going to the gym and usually pulling late hours Im to lazy to cook. we waste so much on restaraunts and ordering out eeek
