Post your favorite moment of THIS holiday season!!!

Okay enough complaining!

My favorite moment SO FAR was last night. Santa Claus was on the corner on our local volunteer fire department's fire truck. I SCREAMED LIKE A LUNATIC AND PUSHED MY COUSINS OUT OF THE WAY!! LOL I was like SANTA IS HERE COME QUICK! All of the little kids ran to the window and they were SCREAMING and Santa stopped the truck and waved. It was such a magical moment that it brought tears to my eyes the kids were in complete AWE they couldn't believe it!! Just looking at them was SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

And then I helped the little ones put Jesus in the Nativity and I said Happy Birthday Jesus and the little one sang' Happy Birthday YOU jesus' it was SO CUTE

And another one, FH opening up guitar hero - WOW he was so not expecting it LOL it was hysterical he got all excited then tried to cover it up and 'act cool' but it was too late we all saw it

My fav moment was this morning when I woke up with FH. We dated forever and we always spent Christmas morning at our own parents houses. We were never together. This morning was special because it was just us . It was so nice to put on the tree and have coffee and open our presents. We felt like 'grownups' lol!!

my sister came home this morning and she looked as if she was still in shock over something..she looked so happy...well thats because last night her boyfriend of 2 years proposed to her!!! the look on her face brought tears to my eyes ..i remember how I felt when i first got engaged!

oh yeah i messed up all of those gifts were from Brutus!! FH didnt get me a single thing this year

yea matilde, weird how when its a month away, then they realize whats going on LOL

My favorite moment was waking up next to my FI on Christmas morning. We have dated for 4 years but, never been together on Christmas

I was at mass with FH and his family Christmas Eve and it was the children's pageant where they act out the nativity as a part of the mass and they sing all carols as the hymns.......the priest started with a talk to the kids and parents about how most little kids are afraid of Santa at first because he's a stranger and kids don't like strangers. Then he went on to say that once Santa becomes a known face or even a friend, they no longer fear him. He then tied it into the belief that one has in God and how when one doesn't know enough about him that there is a fear/apprehension towards getting to know him, so we must all believe and learn about him to become closer to him...it was really nice.

So, the kids to the nativity scene, we pray and listen to the gospel and all of a sudden the lights dimmed and down the aisle came Santa!!! Since it was a mass with tons of kids at it, you had to hear the gasping of these children! Noone said a word and Santa walked down the aisle, went to the nativity at the altar and knelt, prayed and kissed 'baby Jesus' (who was actually a real baby!!!) and walked out.....there were tears everywhere and I was so chocked up looking at the kids faces and feeling that built up emotion....it was really the most amazing thing I've ever witnessed!

visiting grandpa today and actually feeling not sad. Fh was strong enough to go with me and we walked in the room and he just kinda opened his eyes to look at us. Then when Fh and i weren't looking his eyes were wide open and soon as we moved to look at him he shut them tight.

We all realize he wants to go but we all know he is well enough and strong enough to fight his way back to being healthy. So the best was going up to him saying his wedding invitation is arriving shortly and gave him a big kiss and said I love you grandpa.

That was my best moment.
