So I found out that my invitations will require 58 cent stamps...the post office has these to buy...they are the pink ones that say love...I know often people will buy special stamps through websites, etc...what are your feelings on just using the ones I mentioned? Also, due to the price change in the 41 cent stamps, I am thinking of buying the forever stamps...ordinarily I would not want the Liberty Bell, but seeing as I am getting married on the 4th of July, I thought it could be cute..any thoughts? TIA

Re: Postage
They have the LOVE stamp for .58 cents as well. I used those for my invitations, they come in the color lavendar.
I think the idea of the liberty bell is cute, esp since it is a July 4th wedding!

Go for it. I mean, how many invites are you sending out? It's a penny different so only $2 if you're sending out 200 invites.

Re: Postage
I bought the .58 love stamp also....as far as the response cards...I bought the lavendar love stamp and have to put some ugly 1 cent stamp with it, but you ladies are right..they are going to get thrown out anyway...no one really notices them.

Re: Postage
ours didn't say love... they were hearts - is that what you mean? i thought it was cute; we had the pink hearts on the invite and lavendar hearts that matched but were .41 stamps on the RSVP.

Re: Postage
postage changes effective May 12th up to .42 cents......our responses are between that...so we need to put .42 cent stamps on.

Don't worry about the little details. I don't think people look at the stamp that much. I had my RSVP cards as post cards and it was a panther on the stamp.

Re: Postage
I think you should use the regular heart .58 stamps. I looked into the personalized ones and while I love the idea, I don't love how much extra they are. I also think the liberty bell would be cute.
