Re: Postage

I am using the Liberty Bell on both envelopes
To me, it just gets thrown out. Noone looks or comments about the stamp.

I think the liberty bell fits goes with your day perfect!!

if you can get the exact postage from the USPS why not?? I think the love ones are nicer than the liberty bell ones, even though its a 7/4 wedding.

right, but you dont have that option...the 58 cent stamps only come in the hearts...the liberty bells are the forever stamps...meaning you can purchase them now and even when the price goes up, they are still good 'forever'...so the liberty bells would be only for the RSVP's

We did the love $.58 stamp and teh forever stamp on the return envelopes...I don't think people really care. the envelope gets opened and thrown away anyway....

I agree...

Re: Postage

i am the exception to the rule and far more picky and anal than most.

i personally hate the 58c wedding hearts and was planning to combine a 41c stamp i liked with the rams head just to avoid using them. my invites turned out to be 97c because they are oversized (and $1 after may 12) so we used the $1 stamps. not as beautiful as some others, but they actually match our invites really well and say NYC on them which i liked. i loved the custom stamps and think they are definitely noticed and are so cute but they are so pricey it wasnt worth it to me.

i had planned to use flower stamps + the 1c tiffany stamp for our response cards but the liberty bell wasnt as bad in person and the colors matched our ivory invites better, so we decided to go with those.

my mom felt that 1 stamp per invite looked better than 2, so thats also a consideration. i was just relieved i didnt have to use the wedding stamps.

in the end, nobody but us will probably care about stamps or even notice them unless they are custom, which i tihnk people really will notice.

love,
the stamp-zilla
