my grandmother bought me a set of pots arond that price for my birthday....for pots thats not too expensive! Pots are extremely worth the money! in the end, u want something thats going to last, and will be good! (its like Grandma says: 'ive had these good pots for over 50 years, i paid a fortune for them, but i wouldnt give up my pots for anything!') gett the ones you want!

Re: pots... AGAIN!!!!
we got a calphalon set that was around $200. maybe simply calphalon? if the set is too pricey, is it better to register for individual pieces so shower guests can get it piecemeal?

Re: pots... AGAIN!!!!
I registered for the calphalon tri-ply stainless 13 piece set. It's only $399 if they use a bbb coupon, that mes it only $320. And it really has everything you need.
I have nonstick now which I love, but they don't last.

I think you should register for what you want, irregardless of the price. Most stores will break apart the $600 set into 13 separate pieces to make it affordable for people to buy for you.

Mine were about $1200. I registered for the All Clad set. It's really important to have good pots and pans that will last you forever.

Re: pots... AGAIN!!!!
i can't lift all clad or calphalon - sad but true and i cook A LOT so i wanted pots and pants that i could be able to get out easily, lift, and wash without hurting myself
we ended up getting a set of stainless steel rachel ray pots - they are adoreable - i haven't used them yet so i have no idea how they are to cook with - i think that they were pretty inexpensive, maybe $200 or $300? i know a few people who have them and like them, i just liked them because they were really light to manuever - that was important to me....

I put the individual pots fromthe set on the registry as well for that reason. But one pot was like $200.
To me thats nuts!!!
I am still so confused. I dont want to look greedy.

i was going to get th RR stainless steel set. But I found out they are not dishwasher safe. I am not very domesticated.... I am not going to wash pots every night, so they are off the list. I love them though.
But I might get 1 or 2 pots that from her that are nonstick.
I need to go back to BBB and look again, but my mom wont go with me anymore and FH he has no clue.
