I looked at sooo many sets of pots and pans! I couldn't decide which was the best. We finally went with the Anolon Advanced 12-Piece Cookware Set. I love it! It cooks well and clean up is so easy!

We reigstered (and received) the Cuisinart® Chef's Classic™ Non-Stick Hard Anodized 10-Piece Cookware Set from BB&B.

Re: Pots ans Pans recc.
We went back and forth between calaphlon and avalon. My parents bought some avalon and I liked them a lot because you don't have to cook with oil or butter.. just a tad of water. They heat up quickly and clean easily.
I've never used calaphon, so I can't really compare though.

We were advised that a whole non-stick set is not necessary. They suggested getting a regular set and then supplementing it with a few non-stick pieces. We went with a calphalon set from BB&B.

ditto
I have non-stick now that have to be thrown out because they have too many scrapes in them, they are only about 5 years old.
Stainless will last you a life time and you really don't need non-stick sauce pots for soups and sauces.
I got the calaphalon tri-ply stainless 13 piece set and a set of non-stick calphalon skillets that were $50
