Powerless in Florida

Powerless in Florida

Yup so Hurricane Wilma came and went and now more than 90% of South Florida is without Electricity.

Schools are closed the rest of the week.

We have been living by candle light and flashlight for the past 2 days.

The electric company is saying that by November 15th everyone should be up and running.

So as of now, things are horrible..

Gas lines are backed up hundreds of cars, water and ice are scarce.

So I tagged along with Fh today so I can be in touch with some civilization via his work computer.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

THIS $uck$.

My mother is in Delray Beach, she said she heard the same thing about the power. I hope she's able to get here for my wedding, she's supposed to fly up on the 9th

Well its now friday night and still no power in Boynton Beach.

FH and I traveled up to Orlando to stay in a hotel with our 2 dogs. So we can have some electric and a HOTTTTT shower!

Hopefully when we get back on Sunday night we have some good news..other than that I can only pray!

Take care of yourselves! My best friend lives in Wellington, so they went to Disney World for the weekend (they had been planning to go there for the weekend anyway, but they went earlier than originally planned) too.

At least you're someplace relatively exciting!

My MOH is on day 6 without power. Thankfully my 91 yr old grandmother got hers back a few days ago.

I have leaks in every room, but somehow I did get power back after 2 days. I'm so ready to move away from here after this. I have no idea when the condo is going to get our building's roof fixed, but my place is going up for sale as soon as they start work. The second part of the storm ripped all the roofing off. One poor man a few doors down had his whole ceiling collapse.
