All,

Yesenia has been MIA for the past few days. Her FH dog Coco past away and they are taking it very hard. My prayers go out to Yesenia and Luis

Oh no! Poor Yesenia and Luis - that is so sad. I am still getting over losing my childhood dog (oh, like 6 years ago!!) and my current dog is my baby and I don't know what I will do if something happens to her. My heart goes out to them.

OMG everyone, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!! It's been really tough these past couple of days. Coco was recently diagnosed with cancer, went through a double surgery and unfortunately got more ill instead of better. The cancer spread throughout his body and the poor baby just couldn't breath well anymore.

Luis had him for almost 8 years and I've been his mommy for almost 5 years since Luis and I met. He was the SWEETEST blondie cocker spaniel and he is very missed. Now we are left with only our (almost) 2 year old terrier, Viva.

I came on last night for a bit to get my mind off things and I just couldn't bring myself to post about this, so THANK YOU ELIANA for that. It's so very touching to know that people that you (for the most part) have never met sympathize with you in such a difficult time and care enough to express their condolences. To so many people, a dog is just a dog - but to us, Coco was family and he will always be in our hearts.

I will let Luis know of all your sentiments.

A family Friend Sent us this little 'story' when my dog died..I thought it was sweet...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body begins quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...

KRISTIN!!!! As if everyone's posts didn't bring enough tears to my eyes, this story really brought them down. It's so very sweet and I truly believe we'll see Coco again one day. Thank you! I'll be sure to send this to Luis too.
