$100 - for the weekend.

I was told the money goes to the volunteers.

They are also providing dinner of pizza, soda, and beer, breakfast for 2 days, and are throwing us a reception after mass this sunday.

Re: pre cana

Ours is included in the church fees, so we don't pay additional for pre-cana unless we do it outside the parish.

Re: pre cana

We did Precana in PA and got off cheap with paying only $75. Pretty reasonable, considering the food was catered and they provided a variety of books on marriage. Other churches in PA & MD wanted $250 and the only option was for a weekend retreat.

We paied $150 and that included breakfast and lunch (food was crapy). Several Books for each of us and three differnt group speakers. I didn't think it was that bad at the end of the day for all we did I guess.

My cousin put it this way to me 'think about all the money you are spending on the hall, limo, flowers, dress, invites etc etc etc.... why should the church be one of your complaints' So at the end of the day I thought it was a bargin!!!! lol

Re: pre cana

We paid $100. Ours was for 3 Sundays and 2 Sundays for the FOCCUS analysis. We were given a workbook and the 'Together for Life' book plus other pamphlets/literature. We also received a blessing cup, which is nice.

If you do pre-cana at your parish it is usually cheaper than doing it through the diocese. This is because the parishioners weekly offerings help to defer some of the cost to us.
