Pre Cana is a course that the church makes you take to 'open your eyes' to the world of marriage. They basically make you work out some differences you and FH may have or could potentially have and then you listen to a bunch a married people tell you what marriage is!

FH and I have to do this weekend retreat thing in Pittsburgh for our pre-cana since it's hard for both of us to come back to Long Island a lot with our pharmacy rotations and school... and that's costing us $215.00, but that includes room and board and food for the weekend so it's not that bad... we'll see how it goes, we're doing that in November the weekend before Thanksgiving. Plus our priest was very understanding in allowing us to do that since he knew it would be difficult for us to travel back and forth to NY...

If we were able to do pre-cana through our church, it would have been free. But, bc of FH's work schedule that was not possible. We have to do it through the Diocese (RVC) and pre-cana will cost us $250, and the Foccus will be $50.

That is what happened with us...our church no longer could offer through them b/c host couple apparently stepped down or something and so we had to go thru RCD too

YEAH MINE is also $300 actually i think it might be $350 and it was included in the church fee's so we took care of it already

We did ours and it cost us $50. It was the in-home Pre-Cana where you go to a couples house 3 times.
If we wanted to do the weekend retreat or the class on a weekend it would of cost us b/w $250 - $300.
