pre cana

I'm going to call tomorrow to see but wondering if someone tried to take their pre cana at a different church than they are getting married at. Our church doesn't work for us, there is a class through the Diocese of Rockville Centre in Feb but future in laws are takng one in January that is much more convenient location wise for us. Do you think they will give me a problem?

pre cana

I belong to one parish, but getting married in another and doing precana at the parish I belong to. The church we are getting married in said they just need us to get the certificate that we completed it.

I don't think it's a problem anywhere, as long as the church you're getting married in gets the certificate that you completed it.

There shouldn't be a problem. We are doing precana through the Diocese because we wanted to get it all done in one weekend and its closer to home for us. The certificate should be all that matters.

FH and I live pretty far from our families church where we are getting married. When we met with our priest to set the date he said it would be no problem to take Pre Cana someplace more convenient. We ultimately ended up taking it at the place where we are getting married. You get a certificate at the end. So like the other ladies said, it should be okay as long as you have the certificate.
