Pre Cana and Foccus?

I was just informed that you have to do both.

Where do I even start. My parish recommended I check out the Diocese of Rockville Centre for parish listing and times...

But then I checked it out online and there is a Pre-Cana program and then Foccus that is required for $250?

Can someone explain this because I'm so completely lost and no one at my parish is helping or answering the questions I'm asking.

Wait What is Foccus, my deacon didn't say anything about that????

Foccus is a test and will only take a short time. It was explained to me as something that is supposed to open up communication. you can't fail and it is a just a snapshot in time because you might answer the questions different the very next day.

I can't help on the cost issue because ours is included in our 'donation'

The FOCCUS is showing to be $250

We did the Engaged Encounter weekend ($350) and FOCCUS ($50). If you are getting married on the Diocese level (Weekend Encounter) then FOCCUS is required. If it's just the parish level (Pre-Cana) then I believe it is not. HTH.

ETA: FH is telling me that if we did regular pre-cana then we would have done FOCCUS there.
