Pre-Cana ladies...

...Do any of you have a list of the questions you were asked?

I'd really like to get a copy of those questions. I'm Catholic, FH is Jewish, but we're doing a non-denominational ceremony. But I think its SOOOO important to ask all of those questions before getting married.

I'd be super grateful. I can give you my email addy if you need it.

i printed out their planner and i think the questions were an extra chapter or something.

well technically when I recieve my sacraments this upcoming easter all my sins will be forgiven soooooooooo... I can tell the truth...I'll just have to remind them that all these sins will be forgiven through my communion/ confirmation / confession. until then...you can find me and FH 'swingin from the chandelier'.

i went to the slumber party which is the same as a passion party and yeah i just had to i always thought it was interesting

Im not looking forward to pre cana at all
I wanted to do the weekend thing but my priest says its like $250
the once a week for 5 weeks is only $50
what do they ask you at these things
my FH and I always wind up laughing out of nervousness for just being in a church

i dont know if its different for LI, but for the queens and brooklyn diocese there is the weekend retreat which is $340, but theres also a 2 day precana which is friday and sat and its $175 and then the other is evenings and its either 4,5, or 6 evenings.

I am doing the 2 day precana for $175

I was told it isn't so much as a test, but a way for you and FH to see what your feelings are such as about raising kids and who is responsible for homework and other household things. It's not going to get graphic and ask things about your sex life. It's stuff like who's responsible for paying the bills and how to make sure you're both involved. Cause remember divorce in the Catholic church is a big no-no, so you have to do everything you can to make it work.

I'm lutheran and we had to sign that paper for our 'mixed marriage' saying we'd baptize our kids catholic etc.
