Last night was our first night of pre-cana. Our church program is 3 Sundays in a row from 6-9 at night.
I didn't have too much of an idea of what to expect going in because most churches do it differently (according to all of my friends who share different stories). I have to say it was FUN! Basically we listened to different couples who've been married for x number of years give you their real life stories and examples of how they tackle different topics - for example, communication, family of origin, finances, etc. After each topic, we separated, answered a worksheet, and then met back up to review our answers (privately just me and FH).
I literally LOVED one of the couples - they have been married 40 years and looked so in-love and excited to be talking about marriage.
So 2 more Sundays and we have another check, but this check is different, this isn't like crossing something off my list - I'm actually taking something away from this one :)

I can't wait! We still have some time and the next available date is April 2014. The best part is, it takes place in the parish where I'm marrying lol. Talk about an easy trip!

We had our first session too yesterday and I agree it was kind of fun and I'm looking forward to meeting with the couples for the next 3 weeks.

That's great! I'm actually a little jealous that you're doing that now - FH and I LOVED pre-canaa. It was so laid back and relaxing and the couples we were with were awesome.
