PRE-MARITAL LEAVE ...

wouldn't it be fair for brides-to-be to have 'pre-marital leave' about 3-4 months before the wedding. Seeing as how there is so much to do..and you cannot concentrate at work because you are either
a) chatting w/brides and getting ideas on LIW/NYC Weddings
b) preoccupied with thoughts of what you need to do
c)totally consumed with your wedding day

I think the same way we get maternity leave..we should get pre-marital leave.

Totally!!! My performance is not nearly as good as normal. Plus, when wedding stress and work stress hit at the same time, it's dangerous!!

Hence why I wrote this! I mean seriously..how can we think about work..when we have 'wedding on the mind'.

Hahaha. I agree with you....but I got sh!t for taking the day BEFORE my wedding off!

You'd think bosses would be more understand, but they aren't. In addition to that, they called my cell phone as we were checking into the hotel, my DH almost flipped.

I can't wait til I have a baby, they will be calling me in the delivery room

I def agree!!!!!! It just gets to the point where they KNOW you're not doing any work bc your wedding planning is taking up so much of your life.

The petition should also include a time after your wedding as well to take care of stuff such as name changing, writing TYs, picking out album pics, etc. It's hard returning back to 'normal' life afterwards!!

I think I might propose that to my boss...she is ALSO planning her wedding.

It may work!! It's a good thing my boss is understanding of the situation..but none the less I got BOMBARDED with work today!!
