Are you going to do this? Is it required by your church or officiant? Does fh have a problem with it? Also if you are doing it, what do you hope to get out of it?
Yes, Pre Cana is required by the Catholic Church. It is basically a weekend or a few weeknight sessions, basically just discussing issues that couples face: finances, children, religion, how you handle stress, etc. It is a bit like counseling, but it is from a Catholic perspective..... FH and I are really looking forward to it. I've heard some people have amazing experiences... like it really brought them closer together spiritually; others have said it's only OK. I think it really depends on your facilitators and how serious the couple is about it.
