There is no reason for us to have a pre-nup. Neither one of us have that much money! We are RICH in love LMAO!!!!! I also have a bridge to sell!!!

No reason for us to have one. We're poor med students right now. Though he's better off than I am. He's in a MD/PhD program (their tuition is paid by the school AND they get a stipend), while I had to take out loans for med school. (booo)
But I like to remind him that once we're married, my debt will become OUR debt

I am giving a little more thought to this question. I think that perhaps we should have a DIFFERENT type of prenup. Not a financial pre-nup, but maybe a 'household' prenup.
For example:
He does the dishes. I watch. He takes the trash out. I watch.
I think you all get my drift!!!

since neither of us have won the lottery there seems to be no reason for a pre-nup...however I do have a few friends who have gone through the process and it has never been fun the couple.

FH has more then I do, but we haven't even thought about it or considered it. To me, if you are thinking of getting a pre-nup, it's a sign that things are a little iffy already and you are unsure of the future. IF and a BIG IF, FH and I split up, I don't see either of us getting nasty.... but then again, you can't really predict the future. But, I see the glass as half-full and not half-empty, so we'll be fine lol

I hate the whole pre-nup question. I'll have to agree that if you are even considering it, then ( and this is just my opinion) that just kind of makes it seem like theres uncertainty.

Ladies,
You should keep something in mind when faced with the pre-nup question... It isn't only about what you have right now, but it can be about what you can or will have in the future. Case in point, if one of you stands to inherit a large estate someday.
That being said, despite the advice of everyone in my family, FH are not getting a pre-nup.
(Please understand, this has NOTHING to do with my choice in a partner.)
