Pre planning meltdown!

The fiance and I have finally started looking at a few venues in Nassau and suffolk county. I thought I was all about the lack of headache with an all inclusive package but now my dad is making me have second thoughts about not doing it seperate because he thinks itll be better quality with individual vendors. Im looking for an october wedding probably Sunday because its cheaper. Any per head prices (including fee and tax) you gals can share? Or experiences with all inclusive, any input really would help thanks

Pre planning meltdown!

I shared a similar reservation about all-inclusives because if you don't like a particular vendor, you're stuck. I kept looking for a venue that I liked and was within my range and booked it. This gave me the flexibility to find other vendors I liked that were within my budget. That's my $.02. I have some October prices at home. Hopefully if I remember I'll FM them tonight.

This! My brother and FSIL just booked The Cottage at East Wind which is an inclusive package and all the vendors are very reputable and you have choices of dj, photo etc.

Pre planning meltdown!

Yea I looked into the cottage but it was too small for us. Approx 150 people. Is it possible to do seperate vendors and venue and have it be less than 20 total with taxes and fees? Itd hard to plan unless I want to do it all alone because the hubbie to be is only off weekends and im on at leadt two a month :/

It's DEFINITELY possible, you just really have to research your vendors and prices and possibly make sacrifices in certain areas (basic photo/video package, DJ instead of band, Sunday afternoon instead of Saturday night - not necessarily all of these things though!).

Did you check out Sunset Harbour? I'm not sure how many people you plan on having, but they're GREAT if you want to save money on a venue!
