Precana

So I wanted to do pracana at my parish, but they only do a 5-week thing for two hours 1 day a week, and FH is adamant about doing it all in one shot on one day. Since I have planned everything the way I have wanted for the most part and FH has agreed to everything, I'm willing to let him win this battle

Does anyone know where I can go to do this? I know people have said that they've done it on one Saturday.

I don't know about the one Saturday, but Douglaston in Queens does it in a Friday night/all day Sturday session.

It's a different diocese, not Rockville Center... someone told me that doesn't make a difference, but we didn't have to do a FOCCUS test so I don't know how that plays into things, but it's worth looking into if you don't want to go to weeks of sessions.

I booked my precana through the diocese of rockville center and it's a weekend thing -- 9-5 on saturday and sunday. We also had to do FOCCUS, but it was just tedious -- wasn't terrible.

ETA: we are scheduled on July 16 & 17

My FH wanted to do the weekend thing too but when I looked into it at RVC website its $300. My church does the 6weeks for $60. we went with the $60 LOL
I cant see spending $300 and then pay the church and music on top of that!

We did this. Friday night for 2 hours, then Saturday from 9-5 (really ended up being 9-3) No FOCCUS. It cost $200. This was our only option since we're interfaith, but they were holding it for a non interfaith group on the same day and time. The couples were really great and I really enjoyed the experience.

My Pre-Cana at my Church (St. Martha's in Uniondale) was 2 saturdays from 4:00-8:00.

We did our in one saturday it was 10-4:30 and they give you a really good lunch and its only $75 the church is lcoated in hampton bays its called St rosalie

I did it here as well and its awesome. However, I think they only hold it once a year
