Prehoneymoon Review with pics

Eventhough we're getting married in Feb, we went on our honeymoon first and I wanted to share my pics. Last year was tough, my FI was diagnosed with leukemia and I was miserable at my job. After his 2nd round of chemo, I quit my job, cashed in all my mileage and we headed on our trip.

It was amazing! Made more amazing after we found it he was in remission our 3rd night of our 3 week trip. We flew business class the whole way - which alone was worth the hell I went through with work!! Japan Airlines was amazing, with lie flat seats.

We flew to Tokyo from JFK, via Chicago, first and spent 3 nights there. I had lived there in hs but it was a great treat for my FI. Helped him get used to the time change but it was cold.

Here are some pics...more to come...

After Tokyo, we flew to the Philippines (first class this time at the very nose of a 747. weird feeling when landing!). We stayed in a tiny dive resort with only about 10 villas. The diving was spectacular as was the snorkeling. It was amazing, the food was spectacular as was the service. The BEST - because of the exchange rate, our villa was only $30/night. We did some island hopping - there are 7,000 islands in the Philippines after all. Most significant part of this resort, my gfather who passed away in November planted all the trees on the beach of the resort when he was a child. The resort is only about 3 years old but the trees are beautiful! We stayed 2 weeks here...

Some more pics.

Our last week we were planning to go to Singapore, then Indonesia and Malaysia. Our first 2 nights were at the Ritz Carlton in Singapore, in a premiere suite with club access. It was sooo fab we cancelled everything and stayed there. Unlimited champagne and 6 presentations of delish food - how could we say no. Singapore was amazing! Their taxis are brand new mercedes! They have this amazing orchid garden - the best I've ever seen. Everything is impeccable and modern - made New York look 50 years behind. We got our wedding bands there and stayed for New Year Eves. Our room was so spectacular the fireworks were at eye level!!! The night view you see small balls floating in the harbor, that's their tsunami memorial. The exchange rate helped too - the Ritz was only $350 a night for the club level. It was a great way to end a trip. Contrast from the Philippines but still just as amazing.

It's called Duka Bay and it's fab - off the beaten path. It's so tiny but people come from everywhere cause the dive sites are amazing - the guests there our week were from Japan, Dubai, Canada, Cuba - and us two Americans.
