Prenatal pills making me sick!!!

Prenatal pills making me sick!!!

I've been taking them at night before I go to bed and 10 minutes after I take them, I get sick. Then in the morning I still feel grossly nausiated. I don't have morning sickness but I can't stand these pills. Has this happened to anyone else? What are you taking? TIA!

I learned to never take them on an empty stomach. So if you are waiting to take them before you go to bed, that may not be the best idea if your stomach is pretty empty.

I've tried to take them with dinner too. I still get that feeling...

My doctor gave me about 5 or 6 sample packs to try out and then decide which ones my body liked the best. Can you ask your doc to do the same?

im taking flinstones viatmins because I cannot swallow large pills and they are yummy. I also take a supp of folic acid which is literally the tsize of a dot and no problems either. Ask your doc if that maybe an option.

I take the target brand prenatal vitamins and haven't had a problem. I take them in the morning after I eat breakfast.

I would ask your doctor if you can try a new brand.

Definitely try switching brands. The first one I tried made me sick all the time, even before I was PG. The brand I take now I love, even the smell of the pill!!

I still take the Prenate brand prescription from the doctors office. It's about $35-40 for a 3 month supply. I can take it anytime on an empty stomach and it never bothers me. I've been taking them for over 1.5 years. Try them!

I couldnt stomach ANY prenatals.. the Dr. put me on Flintstones!!!! LOL.... Call your Dr. and see what (s)he recommends!

I had the same problem and the doc gave me a sample of Citracel prenatals - they supposively are the easiest to digest and they've made me feel a lot better!

My doctor did the exact same thing. I couldnt stomach them either and he told me to just take flintstones

I take Flinstones too! I just added a folic acid pill to it, I asked the pharmicist if it was okay and she said it would be good to add that to it, we are actively TTC. All of the other brands killed my stomach.
