President and POPE?

Has anyone else heard this... I heard that if you send an invite to President Bush and/or the Pope you recieve a nice letter back blessing your wedding and giving there regrets??? Anyone doing this?? anyone know the address to send it too??? Laurie:)

I never heard that, but the White House is 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington D.C., not sure of the zip. Let me know if it works. By the way, I am 7/5/03! Becky

President and POPE?

I heard different stories about the pope - some say you must pay, some say it must be requested by your priest, some say a simple letter requesting his blessing will do. Im going the letter route (I won't send an actual invite) and see what happens. His Holiness John Paul II Pope Apostolic Palace 00120 Vatican City I don't have the president's address but Im definitely sending an invite to that one - they do it for free!

We sent an invitation to the President and Mrs Bush and a few months later (due the 9/11) we received a beautiful card signed by both of them. Its definatly a great keepsake!! Good Luck to all! Lisa

George W. & Laura sent us a lovely card, too!

Hee Hee. We sent them an invite (thanks for the address, Lisa Rose!) and received our card in December! If you do a search you should find the White House address information, I don't think I saved it. They never did send their response card...hmmm, guess he was too busy going to war on my wedding day!!! We forgive them. I didn't send an invite to the Pope because my husband is Jewish, I felt weird about that! :)

Will you send an real invite?

For the pope, Ive been told sending a letter is more effective than sending an invite b/c you should include details like what church you are being married at and by what priest.
