Pretty bummed out

I had my church rehearsal last night at st. Christopher's in Baldwin. It went really well and deacon tony was great. I was absolutely assured when I booked the ceremony a year ago that the church would be decorated for Christmas by the time our wedding came. There were no decorations last night and deacon tony said there is no chance they will have it decorated by the 10th and that they never do. He's not marrying us and being that I was assured it would be decorated he told me to double check today with the 'higher ups' just incase he was mistaken. I'm pretty bummed out because I specifically didn't get any ceremony decorations because of the amazing Christmas display they do.....I'm not going to add decorations at this point because the church is pretty beautiful on its own but learning this really bummed me out. I'll call the church today but I have my doubts.....booooo!

My church isn't going to have xmas decor either...but I am getting 6 big poinsettia's for the altar for decoration and then I am leaving them there for the season. I am getting them at home depot.

i'm sorry! i hope when you call they will tlel you they will have it doecrated in time! Usually by the middle of December most Church's have been somewhat decorated already!

they sell silk poinsettas at michaels too and had them on sale this week

you could also get pew bows or something too from dollar tree and tie them with red ribbon

Awe sorry to hear this! This is my fear as well with my church but I figure we are only going be there for a short time so I am not going to stress about it.

Who was the person you spoke to that told you the church would be decorated for christmas? Maybe you can get in touch with them and see what the problem is? I don't know why they wouldn't decorate it, your wedding is only a couple weeks before christmas .

Oh I am so sorry. Churches usually decorate pretty early I thought! Maybe you can get a few poinsettias?? usually pretty cheap and look amazing!

that's so annoying! If you remember who promised you this, you should definitely get in touch with them and demand that they decorate!!! SO sorry I hope it works out

That's annoying - but don't be bummed!!!!!!!! It's going to be a gorgeous ceremony in a beautiful church regardless.
