Pretty new and wanted to introduce myself!!

I think I have been here before, butting into forums. So much going on, I can't keep track of whether I am coming or going. A little about me, if you care:

Single mom (she's almost 10!!!) met an amazing guy. He's Jewish from Long Island, I'm Puerto Rican from Manhattan. We now live in Brooklyn (it's been an adjustment but I really like Brooklyn). Yes, it's been crazy trying to incorporate Jewish and Hispanic traditions into the wedding, (Horrah and Salsa, Smoked fish and Roasted pork anyone?) but I am tryingto have fun here without losing it.

I hope you don't mind as I have fun reading your forums and adding my 2 cents. SO EXCITED!!!!!

I know what you mean... I'm jewish & italian and my FH is spanish so we are also incorporating lots of different things into our ceremony & reception! Have fun w/ it!!!

Thank so si very much for the welcome and warm wishes, it feels good to know there are so many woman (let's faceit, the men pretty much just have to show up!) who are planning the biggest, most important day of their lives. It's hard to communicate with those in your life not going through what you are. It's like your consumed with planning, details and ideas. I feel like I am annoying some of my friends, LOL.

No Pernil, but I had my FH cloved a ham for thanksgiving, he said he was going to go to hell for it. I had to remind him that Jews don't really believe in hell and to keep poking the Jamon/Ham.
