I seriously need help guys. I'd like to know the price range for a photo+video package. Approximately what is it, bc I have been looking at $6000 - $7000 packages. R these acceptable? or Am i being cheap. Please Help !

I am using Velvet Studios and am paying 5000 for photo and video. That price is from 2006 though

It's not impossible. It all depends on what you want included in your package. We are paying within the $6 - $7k range.

I want Bridal album 2 parents album proofs Cd TY cards At least one enlargement Some prints if possible 10 hrs coverage Thats about it guys !!

I'm paying 6k for both...video, photographer, and photojournalist....
I have a great package that includes: 3 digital print albums (2 parents, 1 bride/groom). 2 brag books (mini albums) 20x20 bridal party shots customized thank yous with dvd thank you inserts 4 copies of dvd (all footage included, plus pre and post wedding montages) proofs all on a disc plus more
Quick edit video shown during our wedding reception (highlights of our Jersey Ceremony earlier that day)

So far, Ive been to 5 places. r u guys saying it's impossible to find $4000 - $5000 package for my wedding?
Obviously prices for 09 will differ from 08 packages, but almost every photo/video place I looked had packages in that range. 5K was our MAX budget for photo and video combined.
Sometimes going into a vendor and just telling them upfront what you want to pay will help get you a better deal. I know that certain vendors gave brides the same packages, one paid $4,000 the other paid almost $7,000 b/c the later bride said 'Price is NO issue'

Duet will give you that for 5 K. I didnt get parent albums and mine came up to 4 K
