I see that many girls have a picture of this cake in their albums. I absolutely love it! Has anyone gotten a price on it?
I swear I saw this cake in Audrey's yesterday. They have it displayed in the front. Call them and ask how much it is. HTH

probably just basic cake but have florist add the flowers
no idea on price sorry
those don't look like fresh flowers to me ... the look like the ones made out of fondant or sugar (or whatever it is they use to make the cake decorations?)
no clue on price ... our cake was made by our RH and included in their price ... i honestly have no clue how much cakes even cost! ;hah:

Re: Price this Cake
Cakes usually run about 2.50 per person.. Yes, that's how they're priced... Sounded freaky to me at first but after further investigating, that's the way it's done.

I think thats actually on the low end most are $5-$7 per person and fondant is more expensive usually. try dortini's in levittown- they are amazing!

was going to say the same thing, those flowers look like sugar/fondant work, which may be a little pricey, not sure. bring the pic to a bakery (i also rec audreys) and see what they say about price.

That is a pretty cake! I liked this one. I called a bakery in NJ that had this on their website and they said it would START at $1400 for around 300 people. Wow! I have no idea what 'start at' means? I told her the exact cake I had in mind.
I bet that cake is at least $800 if not $1000, with those sugar flowers.

I'd say about $1,500 theres a lot of labor that goes into that cake.

i'm just guessing here ... but 'start at' could mean that it depends on the type of cake inside & the filling choices?
i'd imagine there are some standard options, and some more expensive choices

Re: Price this Cake
Thanks PreshusSmurf. $1400 is too much for me. I will have to keep searching.
This bakery is also charging for a cake tasting. And they said that amount is NOT counted towards my order. So I have to pay $30 just to taste my own wedding cake?! Is this normal?

My cake tasting was free - they were amazing and super nice. Our hall charges us cost for hte cake. So I think its under $800-$1000. for 4 tiered cake.

That cake looks like it's iced in fondant and the flowers are either fondant or sugar flowers--all hand made. I would say AT LEAST $1,000.

Re: Price this Cake
well it all depends on how many guests you have...the price of a cake is per slice. If its fondant then it can be anywhere from $5-12 a slice depending on where you go theres some that charge more...average price ive seen is $6-8 for fondant...i did hear of 2 places in li that charges less, one charged $4.50 a slice and another charged $5 a slice but still its hard to find. I would say to expect to pay $6-8 a slice, that seems to be the most common.
Buttercream costs less, its about $1.50-2.50 a slice

Re: Price this Cake
For my wedding at the Swan Club on August 30, 2008 I used Leonetti Bakery for my wedding cake upon the Swan's Club recommendation and I must say that I was extremely disappointed in the service and product they provided. I was charge $650 dollars for a decorated floral cake (which the design was picked out from their booklet) , with red velvet as the base of the cake with a fondant layer and cream cheese filling. When I saw the cake at my wedding I was shocked and appalled at the appearance of the cake since it looked nothing like the picture from THEIR booklet and above all the cake was yellow and it was suppose to be white and the decoration of the cake looked extremely amateur. When me and my husband cut into the cake the bakery had given us a chocolate base cake with a marshmallow filling, which tasted horrible. When I called the wedding baker the next day to find out what happened he explained to me that he has other people make the cake and they couldn't make the red velvet for me so they decided to give me chocolate instead and that I should get over it. This bakery was extremely unprofessional and unapologetic for their error. They never once called me to tell me that they couldn't make the cake and made their own decision to give me whatever cake they wanted. After showing up to the bakery I was able to get half of my money back. This bakery felt like they could give us something completly different from what we ordered, never called us to tell us they cant make red velvet which didnt give us the chance to decide if we wanted to go ahead with the order and they showed us a booklet of other wedding cakes they claimed they had did in the past and when I picked one of their designs the final result was completly different and amateur from what they said they would do.
