Pricing Honeymoons and....
I can't believe how much Hawaii is..We always go away and have stayed at three different Sandals resorts- we love them but wanted something different for the hm...
we were thinking 2 nights in san fran, four nights in kuai (sp?) and six nights in Maui...
anyway it was over 8k for the hyatts at both-
want to stay at really nice places, expecially for the hm but 8k...... ughhhhh!

I just came home from Hawaii. We stayed at my BIL's timeshare. We went to the Hyatt for a luau. IMO you do not need to stay at a place that fancy or expensive. We were out all day and barely in the room, just for showering and sleeping.

if you cut out san fran, it might be cheaper. that was our original plan too but we cut it out and we paid less than that for 12 days at 5 star hotels...

8,000 seems high for 10 nights. We were looking at 12 nights in both Hyatts and we got quoted in the 6000 range.
Where are you looking?

We are paying $5550 for 10 nights (5 kauai, 5 maui) staying at both Hyatts. The prices also include a convertible the entire time, breakfast everyday, and insurance. I am sure you can get a better price!

We are going to Hawaii too. It is expensive but we are looking at bed and Breakfasts. If you have time get one of those travel books and they have all the best hotels and b& B.

What hotels are you looking at? We are paying around $7400 and are staying at the Hyatt in Kauai for 6 nights and the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui for 5 nights. That price also includes our airfare, a convertible rental car on each island, breakfast everyday and 4 excursions.

We decided on a Southern Caribbean Cruise. It was under 3 without the excursions.

Have you tried a travel agent? My sister used liberty travel, stayed at the hyatt in maui and spent less. I'm sure you can still get what you want, just try to shope around for prices.ETA: I think my BIL alos used an AmEx discount and/or AmEx points. I don't know if that applies to you, but I've heard they ahve good travel stuff.
