PRIEST?? Who?

Ok so I have two questions .. 1st does anyone know a good priest who will do an outside ceremony at Crest Hollow on a Sunday at 6pm??I

And 2nd is: Who's better Velvet Studios or 12th Knight??

I'm not sure a priest will do a marriage ceremony outside of the church. FH and I are both Catholic. We are getting married at the CHCC as well but we are using a Reverend.

I don't think a catholic priest who is affiliated with any church will do an outdoor ceremony. According to the rules of the church, a wedding ceremony MUST be performed in a church.

Just be aware that a marriage performed outside of a catholic church will not be recognized by the church as a 'sacramental' marriage.

this is very true. we emailed the diocese also. there is no catholic priest who will step outside of the church to marry anyone. they may be 'american' catholic priests, but your wedding may not be recognized in the catholic church.

We are using Father Bob also. He is a bishop/priest of the Catholic Church but not the Roman Catholic Church. He works out of Good Shepard Catholic Church. He is doing a Roman Catholic Ceremony for us though at my request. He's very open, he says if the Pope can hold masses in Central Park and Yankee Stadium, he can marry people outside of a church.

Thanks!! I just spoke with Father Bob .. Hes busy on my wedding day !! :(

yes, the catholic church will not recognize a marriage performed outside of a church. a person may say that he is a priest and can marry you, but unless it's inside the church, it will not be a sacrament
