As you can see, I have been a member for a long time, but I don't post much. I used the site to research different vendors and to get ideas for my wedding. I got a lot of ideas off this site!
I got married on the 28th of July and my wedding was the best day ever! I only had problems (big problems!!) with one vendor that I used. Flower Michele did not come through for me at all and I just wanted to warn all the new brides about this. I know John usually gets great write ups, but brides need to be weary. I won't get into details as it is not fair to the vendor, but they are very short handed and overwhelmed lately! Just a heads up...
Fox Hollow, Sir Oliver, Tommy's Tunes, Duet, the Fox Hollow Inn, Ship to Shore Travel, Commack Wedding Center, Burton's, and more...I could rave about forever!!!!!!!

If you could FM me that would be great. I'm meeting with three florists on Friday and one of them is that florist. I don't want to waste my time if they are not reputable. I read some other reviews that kind of scared me (ie not showing up on time) etc. An honest response from you would be great!

my friend just had some problems with them too(MTLOM - she did her review) - maybe they are overwhelmed since barbara left.

That is unfortunate that that happened to you. I do think by the time 08 rolls around they will be back to par, I know they were left high and dry when Barbara left so hopefully they will get it together soon

it sounds like they are overwhelemd.. i tried to make an appt with them and was told that i could come in mid sept.. i kind of wanted something a little sooner than that..

lol. yea well it was a short conversatio.. something like this..
i'd like to come in to et up appt whens ur wedding feb of 08 we can see u mid sept.. oh... nothing before that? no..

i guess i should add that i called in the beginning of august.. i'm sure they will hire someone soon though. they do fantastic work and have a wonderful reputation..

Same thing happened to me - I just called again a week later and got someone else and got my appointment!

I recommend that everyone take pictures of your CP and give the florist a copy that they can keep. Have them staple it to your contract.

John from flower michele did my flowers for the wedding and all I can do is rave about how good of a job he did. I beleive that Barbara was still there when I had my wedding. They may be overwhelemed as I'm sure they had a number of events booked when Barbara quit. John is fantastic and i am sure that they will their act together soon. They really do do good work. Im sad to hear that someone was disappointed.
