Well i mailed out my invitations on tuesday which were already 3 weeks late thanks to the printers. Today i come home and their they were scattered on my front steps all wet and muddy. They looked like they were ran over by a truck. The best part is i brought them to the post office and they said they only needed one stamp. Half of them were mailed and i got half of them back. I am so upset. The ones i got back are ruined.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have any extra invitations to replace them? I can only imagine how frustrated you must be!

ID ask the post office #1 Y the half came back And #2 what Moron threw them on the steps like that then ask them if they are gonna pay 2 replace them!

I have 15 extra but i would need 44 more. AHhhhh i dont understand the post office.I would have paid $200 extra if i had to but they said 1 stamp was fine. Why would half of them get sent and the rest returned. I really dont know what to do. Some of the invitations are ok but most of them have stains and dirt that soaked through 2 envelopes. This really sucks

SOrry to hear that.. I would definately go to the post office, and show them.. Maybe they can track who had that mail run that day.. That is your money.. There is no reason that they should of been thrown on the ground.. Regardless of how many stamps.. GOOD LUCK.. go tomrorow to the post office.. Maybe they can do something

That's terrible! I can't believe they just threw them on the ground like that! Definitely head over to the post office tomorrow and see what can be done to help you out..

You poor thing I just sent mine out yesterday and of all people my Mother gets hers all bent with a big fat fingerprint on it.
The post office is a complete nightmare.
When FI and I droppped them off the man behind the counter basically dumped the boxes that we packed up all nice into big bins like they were garbage or something. The problem with mine are that there is no outer envelope it is just a tri-fold w/ a pocket on the inside. So the invite that our guests get are probably gonna be a mess. I'm sure that your guests will understand that it wasn't your fault. Everything will work out for you I'm sure.Hang in there.....

I'd be ticked!!!!!!!!! I would definatley talk to a manager or something! My post office took a few out of the pile & weighed them. Just in case (for some reason) a few weighed more!

I am speechless!! Why would they be so careless with what they obviously know is wedding invitations!! You really should go down to the P.O. and speak to the person who told you it only needed one stamp and show them the end result. I'm so sorry...you must be so incredibly upset.
