I have been asking around and most people say they never even notcied if people had programs or not.
FH got layed off acouple months ago so it's just an extra expensive I feel we don't need.
What do you think?

but dude, you could definitely just make your own. print in black and white and seriously... how much could they cost even if you printed them at kinkos?

they are not necessary but they are a nice touch... you dont have to do anything expensive, i just made mine up in a word document and printed it out on nice paper... i didn't want to spend a fortune on them

They aren't a necessity. If I hadn't already laid out the $$ for them it is one of the things I would have nixed after I left my job,

I think that are needed if you are doing anything unusual that you want guests to know about. For example, my mom is singing a song in a foreign language and I wanted people to know the name of it and have a translation.

we're having one because some of our guests are not familiar to our culture/tradition.
