Programs or No Programs??

Programs or No Programs??

A question from my best friend who is getting married next Saturday...

programs or no programs? She was going to do them but now she's thinking about cutting them. Do you absolutely need them??

She'd love your opinions!

TIA!

I think that those getting married at the RH don't NEED them at all, but they are nice so that you can identify whom is who and also to have a written thank you.

For those getting married at a church, I think it is a good idea to have a program because sometimes people of different religions have NO idea what is going on and could get easily bored.

I don't think anyone necessarily NEEDS them, and it doesn't matter where you get married. Our wedding was at the RH and we had them bc I wanted them.

If your friend is stressing about them and she's down to the wire like this then she can surely cut them out of her plans. There were a few DIY projects that I had intended on doing that ended up getting cut out, there's nothing wrong with it. People won't notice the things that aren't there, they'll only focus on what beautiful things are there.

I think there nice, and lets ur guest feel invovled in the cermony. You can also do different things like put ur pic on it, etc.

Either way it's totally up to her. I personally just think it's nice to have in case people don't know what's what, but honestly it's not 'necessary' - just personal preference.

I really dont think it matters either way. If she already has them, she may as well use them. But if she hasn't had them made and really doesn't care either way- why bother?

Since it is just a week before the wedding I would tell her to forget about it!! Why stress yourself out even more during the last week before the wedding. We are doing programs, but those suckers will be done a couple of months in advance.

I think it's a nice touch but not needed. I don't plan on doing them at all.

I agree...they're nice, but totally not necessary. I haven't decided if I'm doing them or not yet.

I love programs... they shouldn't take her too long to make them herself! :)

(of course it is not necessary- but it is nice for the guests-I havent been to a wedding that didnt have them actually)

Programs are definitly not needed.
They're nice if you want to have them, but I've been to more wedding where that they haven't had programs.
Personally, I'm not doing programs, I'd rather spend that money on something that isnt going to be thrown out minutes later

You definitely DO NOT need them. If she is running low on time or $$$, I would suggest skipping them. Most people wind up throwing them out anyways.

A huge thank you to everyone!

I (and she) really appreciates it!

I don't think you need them, but I think it's a nice touch. That way, my fiance's workmates won't be whispering, 'who are all the little girls in the bridal party?' And we want to print the text of the readings, possibly a poem, and we're going to do a donation favor, and that's the only place it's going to be mentioned.
