Mine has 4 prongs for the princess. I think adding another two would take away and maybe make the stone rather ugly.

I just called my jewler, I've noticed when I tapped my stone I could hear a clicking sound. I've noticed this for like 2 weeks now. The first time I noticed this I woke up in the middle of the night. I've been paranoid ever since! I have a 4 prong princess cut. He said it won't fly out but I sould have come in ASAP and have it tightened.

Another way to check ring is shake it next to your ear if you hear a little sound bring it to the jeweler to get tightened..

i have a round cut also with 6 prongs. i jsut got mine on the 18th of this month (december) :) so exciting, but i am totally paranoid too, cuz i am not used to it yet, and i keep banging it on everything.

I bang mine into everything also and it get causht on everthing cause the seeting is high.

I cant wait for 1st yr anniversary so I can upgrade and change it

I would NEVER leave my ring with them. If they have to fix it, tell them to take the diamond out, and put it in another setting for th etime being.
My place where the ring was appraised will clean my ring for free.
