Re: proper attire....
i went to a wedding this wknd, and while no one wore white i did see ALOT of white accessories and accents
shoes, belts, hair clips...and a lot of color+white dress (i.e., black and white, grey and white). i was a bit surprised myself....

Re: proper attire....
ummm.....i would have to say this would REALLY annoy me if someone did this but wouldnt let it ruin my day!!! I was just talking to FMIL about her dress & I explained that I was fine w/her wearing any color (she has very good taste) except black, white or ivory. She just looked at me and was like, come on who would wear white to someone elses wedding?!?!?!?!?! Now I'm going to tell her about this thread!!!

Re: proper attire....
i think the bride should definitely be the only one to wear white or ivory!!! i would be annoyed if a guest wore white but i think i would be fuming if it was a close family member.....FMIL, MOB, etc

Re: proper attire....
I wouldn't have a problem with it. I dont mind what color people wear to my wedding as long as they come and enjoy themselves. everyone could wear white if they wanted to and I wouldn't even notice because no matter what everyone knows that I'm the bride.

Re: proper attire....
The last 2 weddings I have gone to have had women in white dresses. The first was a date of a friend of the groom and it was knee lenght with tulle HELLO!!>.....The second was Friday night the bride's aunt wore this short white dress with a lace over lay. Not appropriate. But to be honest neither bride was phased and it was more the guests talking about these women than anything else.
I think in the end I would let it go. It is my wedding day....they are the ones that look silly and I am not going to let little things get ot me that day.

Re: proper attire....
Some people are weird. At my sister's wedding, one of her friend's gf's wore white. And her MIL wore off white/cream color. It wouldn't be a huge deal to me, but I would definitely be annoyed.
