Re: Pros to registering at Bloomingdales?
no I didn't use their stationary... but their customer service is fabulous! The employees are polite and very responsible. If an item isn't on their website, you can call them and they'll track it down for you and add the sku # to your registry on your behalf....
Also, similar to other stores, they have discount days, and you can purchase remaining registry items at a slight discount...
the biggest reason we're registered there is becuase they have some really pretty stuff.....
and then I don't have to deal with fortunoffs we won't go into my customer service experiences with them.....

Pros: FABULOUS customer service. Pretty Things (but I registered for Kate Spade China, and Orrefors Glasses. Great customer service, Bloomingdales Visa upon returns. (can be used anywhere).
Cons: Sales are rare and not that great. I come from a Macy's One Day Sale with Coupons kinda family. My relatives are more or less K-Mart (don't get me wrong, I Luuurve Target, wish I had a K-mart). So I kinda look like a snob. I counteracted this by registering at Bed Bath and Beyond for my china as well.

I have to agree-when i worked in real estate office, one of the bosses always gave me a 100 dollar bloomies GC and though it was nice, even a hundred bucks didnt go very far. I used to spend it on shoes lol. I love Macys because nicer stuff and FANTASTIC sales. We got our 200 dollar luggage gor a whopping 60 bucks after sales, mroe sales, coupons and credits. So I am a MAcy's girl as far as registries go. For towels and smaller items Bed, bath and Linens NThings are good.
