Re: puppy question
Yes - when I first got my dog she was really young and had issues for a little bit. It took some adjusting to different foods. I stopped giving her any wet food. Dry food only was the thing that stopped it.. HTH!
The food that I switched to and have never stopped giving her is Beneful .. She loves it and she never has any problems now!

Re: puppy question
I had that problem with my dog and it progressively got worse. After thousands of dollars spent at the vet it turns out it was just the food. Try changing the food your feeding her. HTH

Re: puppy question
You need to give him the rice stuff for a few days.
White rice with hamburger meat or something. Google it. It binds them up.

yep, mix in lots of white rice, it will really help, you can also give him 1/2 of an anti-diaherra pill.

Yes - definitely. Ive never given any of my dogs wet food for this reason. When I first got my puppy the people I bought her from said 'she only eats wet food' ..
She was so sick, losing weight from the diarrhea .. I took her to the vet and they told me start weening her off the wet food to get her adjusted to the dry.
Start by putting equal parts of dry to wet. Then every day put less and less wet food until your puppies completely off of it. I bet you this will stop the problem.
They have a Beneful for puppies too!

ita, try the white rice and maybe a pill, and if he doesn't get better or you see blood then bring him to the vet.

I would get him off the wet food first. Just try the dry dog food alone and see how that works. Good luck!!!

Re: puppy question
My dog has had diarrhea now and then. From my experience, when it was really bad and he needed to see a vet he had it like multiple times a day in a short period of time and I knew something was up. But sometimes he just gets it and i put some regular white rice in with his food. This binds it and generally makes it back to normal (if this is not a serious problem). Also make sure your dog is getting plenty of water (especially now since its getting warmer). However, if the diarrhea persists I would go to a vet...or if you feel it would ease your mind...go.
You may have mentioned this but what kind of food is he eating? We had to switch my dogs food numerous times until we found one that was right for him.

Re: puppy question
my dog used to get this all the time! i would just give him a bowl of plain white rice for dinner tonight and breakfast in the morning and see if that helps! our vet said that if they don't like just the plain white rice you can add a few drops of chicken broth to flavor it a little but not too much. if the rice doesn't help in two or three days then i would call the vet!
