Putting dress over your head

Ok, the next thing to be obsessed over. How do I get my dress over my head the day of the wedding when my hair and makeup is done. I have a Maggie dress with the corset and don't think that I can get the dress on by stepping into it. I have to check again at my next fitting. Ugggh, another thing to worry about. Any suggestions? My mom said to take some extra toule that I have and put that over my head lightly and that would help. HELP!!!

Re: Putting dress over your head

I think that's where other people come in - aren't they supposed to help you put on your dress. I think basically you just stand there with your arms up and the CAREFULLY put it on for you and you stand there......for a girl that used to hide in the girls locker room in fear of anyone even seeing her in her underwear, this freaks me out a bit!!

Re: Putting dress over your head

I went the other way and steped into my dress. I did the same thing when I used the restroom - a quick step out of the dress (with the help of my MOH) and step back in. It was much easier than dealing with makeup smears etc.

Re: Putting dress over your head

Uggh, there is so much crinoline etc and it is heavy I can't imagine this. I am going to pray that my hips fit in the dress by stepping in. I am not a big person but the waist is really small. I am NOT looking forward to this.
