Putting in Contact Lenses??

I've worn glasses my whole life and I don't want to wear them on my wedding day. So, I got contacts a few weeks ago and I just tried practicing putting them in to no avail. Does anyone have any tips for putting in contacts? I just can't imagine havivng to wear glasses on my wedding day

ETA: So now I can get the contact lense in my eye but it's not adhering to my pupil! It's just floating around on the white part (ewww). I practiced last night and I was able to put it in my left eye on the second try but it was floating all around the place. When I tried sliding it over my pupil with my finger, my eye would close

FYI I'm using rigid gas permeable lenses, not soft contact lense. Maybe there's a difference in putting them in between the two??

Get a trial pair weeks in advance and practice wearing them and putting them on, don't leave it for the last day! Good luck

I already got my contacts and I'm practicing from now---six months in advance!!!!

I use soft contact lenses, but I don't know if you have tried this, once you get it in your eye...look left, look right, look up look down...when I do that is positions it self... I remember when i first got contacts it was the worst but sooo worth it! Hang in there!

I had the hard contact lenses(b/c I have a bad astigmatism) for a couple of weeks...They would float around my eye all the time, I had to go to the doctor to have it taken out...I can't really give you any tips, just keep practicing...but I will say I got the soft ones instead and they are so much better...Good Luck!

I only spend 10 second each morning to put my lense in.
You just need to practice more. Soft lensesare easier than hard lenses but just keep practice and practice. You will love it and don't want to wear your glasses anymore.
