I mean i pray that we have a long healthy life regardless, and what if we have one regardless then it would be so selfish to not end world hunger for something that might be happen regardless.
Plus i think of all those starving kids.
I think i'd go with end world hunger, and just pray that my family and i have long healthy lives

that was exactly my thoughts. I couldn't let kids starve and die everyday just for me and especially not when we just might live long and healthy lives.

I'd choose 1. I feel guilty saying that, but I would. I think usually i'd say #2 but there are things going on now in my family that make me choose 1.

I was just about to say the same exact thing. In the past I would just say I'd try to stay healthy and deal with whatever comes. I'm already (legally) blind and while it isn't exactly fun, dealing with it has helped to form who I am today. But I have a very young family member with some devastating medical problems. I'd trade pretty much anything to help him. If the genie REALLY came, I'd pick #1, but dedicate my life to helping end world hunger.

1. A long, healthy life for yourself and your family.
Without a doubt...in the end, all that truly matters to me is that my family and friends live a happy life.
I stopped worrying a long time ago about the troubles of the world. When you make EVERYONE'S troubles your own - you wind up with ulcers that don't go away (trust me).

Me too. My aunt had breast cancer and luckily got chemo and radiation quickly so that all is ok. I lost both of my mom's parents to cancer when they were WAY too young (under 70) and my mom's oldest sister died at the age of 59 from brain cancer. My mom also had a scare with breast cancer recently. My dad's got diabetes, my dad's mom has diabetes, heart problems and dementia, and my dad's dad had both knees replaced and isn't walking too well. So for me, a long healthy life for my family isn't something I take as a given or even as a likelihood. I know it's selfish to put your family's well being before the world's ... but honestly, I think a lot of people would because it's closer to home.
