FH and I lived together about 2 years ago. We had been dating long distance for two years (together for 3) and then went to living with each other. It was a big adjustment and we went through alot of growing pains and decided to live apart, but close so we would see each other more than once a month! We have lived apart for the last 2 years (20 mins away) and are moving back in together this weekend to save money.

Living together does change alot, but I think you don't really know someone until you live with someone... and FH was proof of that. But I still love him :)

I think it depends on the person. I had no intention of FH and I living together before we got married, but things happen and in this case I'm glad they did because I can't imagine it any other way. I will admit though that I was one of those people who had a difficult time adjusting but it was short lived and I'm glad it happened when it did and not right after we got married.

A lot like delgie, I had a similar situation: my ex had been living with me for the last 4 months of our 2.5 year relationship.. And living together definitely didn't solve any problems that we had.
But when I met FH, we talked about it early on and decided to wait at least a year- mainly for financial reasons and because FH had never left his parents house (and I was on my own when we met).. After living with him for over a year now I can honestly say there weren't many adjustments, only good ones, but I'm glad we did it- FH always said he wanted to live with me first before taking the next step to 'make sure'.. And ten months after we moved in together he popped the question!

Edit for spelling!

FH and I are living in his parents basement (Oh god how cliche) together. I 'officially' moved in right around Hurricane Sandy. In fact... Sandy ruined the 3 days I took off from work to pack!! But... I was pretty much at his place every night since January. We have the whole basement to ourselves... separate bathroom, living room, bedroom...even a private entrance. Its everything but the kitchen but its nice to be upstairs chatting with his mom while I cook (when I cook...).

I also think its a GOOD THING we don't have a full kitchen in the basement because then that would be the excuse to never leave.

I love living with him. I love hanging out all the time with him and I love our little 'apartment'.

I would have HAD to live with ANYONE I'd ever contemplate marrying just because I know what a pain in the butt I am...

its also nice to live together in his parents house because we can save money for our own place AND our wedding :)
